A combination high-temperature pyrolysis/plasma arc system that allows destruction of the otherwise objectionable toxic components - there are NO offgases.
The dual pyrolysis/plasma arc system allows separate recovery of product streams, one after the pyrolysis step and the next one after the pass through the high-temperature plasma arc.
The combined pyrolysis/plasma arc process yields a positive energy balance of low cost, base load electricty e.g. $0.07 US per KW/hour in 100 MW or above units, plus synthetic diesel at $1 per US gallon ie $0.264 per litre, distilled water and inert vitreous carbon (like black glass) for road base.
